H.C. Starck produce 50% of tantalium in the world. Tantalium is obtained refining coltan. H.C. Starck which is a Bayer subsidiary has been already accused by UN, because it was directly involved in the recent civil war in Congo.

The DRC ( Democratic Republic of Congo ) has a lot of coltan mines and Bayer is very interest in the control of the coltan traffic.

Now Starck is making its business undisturbed.
