Anonymous supports the protest against the construction of the Belo Monte Mega-Dam.

Felicio Pontes, a Federal Public Prosecutor from the state of Pará, noted that 20 civil lawsuits have been filed since 2001 by his office (Ministério Público Federal) due to gross violations of human rights and environmental law in the licensing and construction of Belo Monte. 

"The only reason construction of Belo Monte continues is that a legal artifice dating back to the military dictatorship, known as "Suspensão de Segurança" (security suspension) allows chief justices of federal courts in Brazil, upon request from the central government, to unilaterally suspend decisions on lawsuits against violations of human rights and environmental legislation, invoking supposed threats to the country's economic order".

The indigenous Brazilian Xingu people wich are ancient and peaceful are forced to leave their land without any compensation. There had been over 20 violations against the Xingu people. We underline that the rights of the Xingu people are enshrined by a declaration of UN (United Nation).

Hundreds of square meters of the Amazonia Rain forest will be flooded in order to build the dam.

With this action we want to support the Xingu people in their thrive for their rights. Xingu indigenous people's culture is a legacy for the whole of mankind.

No production of electricity justifies the destruction of the natural habitat of both people which have been living in harmony with the flora and fauna for thousands of years.

Deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon forest jumped to 28% in 2012 according to studies made by the Brazilian government.

Belo Monte dam's The construction of the dam go ahead due to special law of security that allows government to suspend civil rights in cases of emergency.

We demand respect for the human rights of  the people involved, we are all victims of the future damages that will result after the construction of the hydroelectric dam.

A population of 25,000 indigenous people of 14 different nationalities will be pushed elsewhere.
The artificial lake created by the dam will flood 9 million hectares (over 22200000 acres), destroying forests and unique ecosystems. There have also been clashes between the local population and the military dictatorship that hopes to colonize the Amazon region.

• The ecosystem has the right to be protected cause of his internal functionality.

• So, we ask the real application of paper for the rights of indigenous people of the United Nations. We note that, the indigenous people, protecting their right to exist, defend the integrity of the ecosystem. So, we ask that  the application of the paper be extended to non-indigenous. Particularly we stand so the right for the choice of the environment, where people wants to live, protected by the United Nations paper, be exercised by every human both residing in cities or in rural areas more or less pristine. We want also that a person, who lived for a sufficient time to understand the conditions of the environment, can decide the fate of this last one. This can be realised only if the popular assemblies have decision-making power. We also clarify that the right of nomadism must be protected, cause of this are considered inhabitants of that place the sedentary and nomad people. That means who a nomad, that understands the condition of the place where he lives before leaving, can participate to the assemblies and give his advice.

• The ecosystem has the right to be respected. No one human activity can justify his destruction or his irreversible alteration. This is more important if the ecosystem is uncontaminated.

• The uncontaminated and not manmade yet planet's areas, like the uninhabitated areas of the Amazon's forest, has the right to be protected and to be safeguarded from any attempt to alteration of the system. The subject chosen for the protection of cited areas is the human gender, as whole the human inhabitants of the Earth. For the correct application of this right, people must be informed. This is extremely connected with the fact to have information without censorship, that States use for their interests.

We are following very carefully what is happening about the dam that you want to build in Belo Monte.

As ever we supervise the respect of: human rights, right to exist, not only to the survival, the right of indigenous' self-proclamation nations and the protection of this, safeguard with the aim to preserve the culture, the identity, the cultural and historical roots of populations, who are more old than whites conquers who, even if lot of time is elapsed, want again to exploit their lands. The protection has to be finalized for the human and economic enrichment and not with the aim to exploit these conditions.

Anonymous is very careful, and we are noting that behind the demarcation of their lands, it's hided the subtle attempt to privatize the mineral and ecological resources, using that we call “green mafia”: government-dependent, or not governative, organizations which work with the aim to controll and exploit this territory. La protección debe ser con la finalidad del enriquecimiento humano y económico, y no con el objetivo de aprovechar estas condiciones.

Norte Energia is building a big dam on an indigenous area near the Xingu river in Brazil.

How you can read on the paper for the rights of indigenous people (made by UN), the ancient council need to be consulted about every project that, other people, want to start.

Despite these assumptions, the construction of this big dam by Norte Energia was started without a consultation with the indigenous, in fact the negotiations happened since 2009 weren't observed.

The dam will be the cause of an innondation of 500 mq of rainforest, altering irriversibly the climate.

32000 indigenous will be removed from their lands. Against this, which could be called a ethnic cleansing, the indigenous belonging to this region of Xingu, have occupied, untill few days ago, the yard of the dam. After confused negotiations and exploiting the difficulties of translation, Norte Energia have offered televisions, video cameras, computers and boats as a price for the ending of the occupation.

We stress that the person, who had to translate, into the indigenous language, these negotiations, was  a member of Norte Energia and, 'cause of this, biased. Also Norte Energia contacted separately every tribe with the aim to decrease the unity of indigenous people and to impair the negotiations. Bad was also the behavior of FUNAI and IBAMA, organizations which have to protect the rights of indios, in fact there weren't members of these associations during the negotiations. Perceiving of the cheat the indigenous people have retained 3 members of the factories which wanted the hydroelectric project on of their community: the members were sent into the indigenous areas receiving a really humane treatment with the freedom of moving inside the Muritu's village.

This rapture was a consequence of the ethnic cleaning and, 'cause of this, is to be noted as a damage of the right to live of indigenous people: this is considered as a demo and pacific act (#Declaration OpGreenRights (n) Right to dissent ) http://pastebin.com/tLT5wVcb ), which includes self-defense. During 27th of July (2012) there was an another reunion between indigenous people and Norte Energia, with the presence of FUNAI, IBAMA and the presence of members of the Presidency of Government, to define the rules of navigation of the Xingu river and the start of the project for the enviroment's protection prepared by Norte Energia, which also now remains incomplete. The indigenous demand to hold their seculary award freedom of moving with boats along the river and that a new reservoir have to be interested by a plane of operation about the enviroment's protection, to avoid natural disasters. The next week other reunions will be held near the indigenous communities, but also the existence of the river's part where they live is in danger.

Norte Energia your behaviour is a mirror of the baddest colonialist acts of past centuries.

Like the Conquistadores you want to destroy the indigenous cultures in exchange for some mirrors and with the cheat of treatments intentionally poorly translated. The respect toward humans, their culture and ecosystem has a really higher price then a dam. So OperationGreenRights shows his closeness to the people of Xingu river in the fight for the preservation of their rights.

Norte Energia stà costruendo una megadiga nel territorio dei popoli indigeni sul fiume Xingu in Brasile.

Come sancito dalla carta dei diritti de popoli indigeni dell'ONU, il consiglio degli anziani deve essere consultato su ogni progetto che terzi vogliano avviare nei territori indigeni.

Nonostante questi presupposti la costruzione della mega diga di Norte Energia è stata avviata senza alcuna vera consultazione degli indigeni, di fatti le negoziazioni avvenute fin dal 2009 non sono state rispettate.

La diga causerà l'innondazione di 500 chilometri quadrati di foresta pluviale alterandone irreversibilmente il clima.

32.000 indigeni saranno cacciati dalle loro terre. Contro questa, che è una vera e propria pulizia etnica, gli indigeni della regione dello Xingu hanno occupato, fino a pochi giorni fà il cantiere della diga. A seguito di trattative confuse e sfruttando la difficoltà di traduzione Norte Energia ha offerto televisori, videocamere, computer e imbarcazioni in cambio della fine dell'occupazione.

Sottolineiamo che la persona incaricata di tradurre nella lingua indigena durante le trattative era un membro di Norte Energia e quindi tutt'altro che imparziale. Inoltre Norte Energia ha contattato separatamente ogni singola tribù in modo tale da dividere gli indigeni e diminuirne la possibilità di trattativa. Grave anche il comportamento di FUNAI e IBAMA organizzazioni che dovrebbero tutelare gli interessi degli indios, infatti nessun rappresentante di queste era presente durante le citate trattative.

Accortisi del raggiro gli indigeni hanno quindi trattenuto 3 responsabili delle aziende interessate al progetto idrolettrico in una loro comunità, costoro sono stati condotti nei territori indigeni ricevendo un trattamento più che umano e godendo della libertà di spostamento all'interno del villaggio di Muritu. Questo rapimento avviene a seguito della già citata pulizia etnica e quindi della lesione del diritto alla vita degli indigeni, è dunque da considerarsi un atto dimostrativo, pacifico, di legittima difesa. Il 27/07/2012 si è svolta una ulteriore riunione tra indigeni e Norte Energia, con al presenza del FUNAI, dell'IBAMA e dei rappresentanti della Presidenza del Governo per stabilire i piani di navigazione del fiume Xingu e l'inizio del progetto di tutela ambientale predisposto dalla Norte energia e tuttora rimasto insoddisfatto. Gli indigeni chiedono di mantenere la loro pluri secolare libertà di spostarsi con imbarcazioni sul fiume e che il bacino idrico di nuova costituzione sia interessato da un piano di intervento di tutela ambientale, per evitare catastrofi naturali. La prossima settimana altre riunioni si terranno presso le varie comunità indigene, ma in realtà la stessa esistenza del tratto di fiume su cui gli indigeni vivono è a rischio.

Norte Energia il tuo comportamento è degno dei peggiori colonialisti dei secoli passati.

Come i Conquistadores vuoi distruggere le culture indigene in cambio di qualche "specchietto" e con l'inganno di trattati artatamente maltradotti. Il rispetto degli esseri umani, della loro cultura e dell'ecosistema ha un valore incomparabilmente superiore a quello di una diga. Perciò OperationGreenRights manifesta la sua vicinanza ai popoli del fiume Xingu nella loro lotta per i loro diritti inalienabili.
